Show Jumping Horses - About Greenacres Stud
We are located in the picturesque village of Coton in the Elms and surrounded by 300 acres of woodland and hacking country in a part of the ' New National Forest'.
We are a small family concern and our re-furbished premises now extend to 30 acres. The joint owners Christine and Terry have full time occupations away from the equestrian world. The support team at Greenacres includes two professional riders plus three assistants.
We have been involved in equestrian activities for more years than we care to remember, but for the last five have concentrated upon breeding foals sired by recognized show jumping Trakehner stallions.
It will be another 12 months before the first of our 8 foals Incas Gold ( UK Part Bred Trakehner Champion 2003 ) takes to the show jumping arena. In the interim we are competing a number of quality warmblood mares in our show jumping team who will eventually be used as broodmares at our stud later in their lives.
Details of these competition mares may be found by clicking the ' Broodmares at Greenacres Stud' link on the right hand side of this blog and for details , video and competion results of our full current show jumping team click ' Our Show Jumping Horses '.
For equine students or for those with a general equestrian interest , our web site has many useful general horse related articles such as ' The Warmblood Horse ' , ' The Thoroughbred ' , ' Breeding Explained ' , ' Using AI ' , ' Embryo Transfer ' and ' Cloning of Horses ' to name just a few.
